From Gatwick - Victoria. I saw this deal in baholidays.com. All the other rates I have seen are much higher. Is this a good rate?

Assuming your family of four consists of two adults and two children, the price you'll pay varies depending upon the ages of the children. If both of your children are 16 or older, you could get the "4 adults for the price of 2" special. Total cost: 22 GBP. If only one child is 16 or older, your cost would be 22 + 5.50 for a total of 27.50 GBP. If both children are under 16, your cost would be 22 + 11 for a total of 33 GBP. (Yes, in this case it's more for children because the special is for "adults".)

Or you could take a South Central train instead of the Gatwick Express. Ten minutes slower and definitely cheaper if your children are young. Adult (16 or older) tickets are 8 GBP. Children's tickets are 4 GBP.

I have 1 child below 16 and 1 above. I don't see how you get 27.50 GBP. It would be 3 adults + 1 child = 38.50 GBP, right? Or is there some special rate I am missing? This is why I thought the $59 fare is a good deal. Thanks for helping me with this.

I probably didn't make it clear that the Gatwick Express special is "up to 4 adults for the price of 2." So it will cost you 22.00 GBP for either 3 or 4 adults (including your child over 16) plus 5.50 GBP for your younger child for a total of 27.50 GBP.

Thanks for clarifying. I was assuming there had to be 4 adults to get that deal.
