Anyone use Gate 1 for a tour of Germany and Austria?

I have not done Germany, but did a Gate 1 tour in 1998(of Italy) I had booked Italia Tour, but they subbed to Gate 1. They did a good job, but it is probably best for 1st time travelers, a slightly younger crowd (uppper 20's-mid 30's)and not luxury. I would recommend them for the crowd that took it, but not if you want all expensive 4 star hotels (they mixed very nice 4 star with what they called 1st class, but were really 3 star and no 5 star). Guide was knowledgable and they were very organized. Tour organized dinners were in OK restaurants, but I would not repeat any of them except if i enjoyed the group (we did even if we were slightly older. Good value for the money as long as you understand you are not getting a real bargain. I would definitely do them again if I was on a budget.
