Gastronomic Guides to Paris
Below are some online guides on where to eat in Paris that you may be interested in. They're recommended to me by a friend who frequents Paris to research for a course he's teaching on the "philosophy of food". See what cushy jobs we're missing out on. :)
1. Chez Pim's Food Blog. Won 2004 Food Blog Award. http://chezpim.typepad.com/blogs/eat...ris/index.html 2. Patricia Well's restaurant reviews http://www.patriciawells.com/paris/p...04-bistros.htm 3. Time-out Paris http://www.timeout.com/paris/rest/ 4. Pastry from http://www.sadaharuaoki.com/ I'm going to Paris in May, and will try some of those places. Just want to share the info with you all here, as you have been so helpful in answering my myriad questions about Paris! |
Also, I found this handy French food glossary on Patricia Wells' website:

All you mention are good. I'm a huge PIM fan as well as her friend Clothide at chocolate and zuccini. Patricia Wells, I met here twice in Boston and she's very surprisingly down-to-earth.

I just took a quick look at Pim's blog. It's very interesting. I've not heard of her.
I'll link it to my own blog and to the Paris Superthread. Thanks for the link. Check the (New York) Times archives for restaurant recommendations also. They periodically publish reviews in "Choice Tables" or "What's Doing." But there's a lot of overlap in the all the various lists. |
I discovered Pim's blog a few months ago..love it!

Also take a look at the in-depth reviews on the eGullet.com web site.
