gargoyles in Marshalls

I was in my Marshall's and they had life sized gargoyles and I found myself smiling and remembering the real ones....I almost got one but didn't have an appropriate place to put one..It always happens that I find the best souvenirs when I get home like a decorative blue bottle of wine at the supermarket from Rothenburg ,DEU...Its a small world

Hi H,

Were they actual gargoyles or merely chimeras?

What most people call gargoyles are actually chimeras, fantastic creatures that adorn places like Notre-Dame Cathedral. Gargoyles are stylized waterspouts, also present on these same cathedrals, but replicas thereof are rarely sold in shops, since the chimeras are much more interesting.
