You can plot your route at www.ratp.fr, but with that kind of luggage I'd take a taxi.
Paris has lines of all colors, red being one of them. They are métro lines.

no, you don't have to reserve taxis ahead of time, it's like anywhere -- taxis line up at train stations to take passengers who get off. 8 pm is night rates which are a little higher, I'd guess 10-20 euro.

I would second the use of the taxi with luggage. There is an orderly line, you can take a luggage trolley right up to the taxi. You may have to wait a little while but the taxis come up all the time like any other major rail station.

It's not as though train stations were trying to hide the taxi stands. The European pictograms were designed many years ago to help people find such things. That's why I am always amazed at the number of questions about such things, as though there were no signs and no other indications of where to find the various services when you arrive.
It is surprising that people don't worry about finding public restrooms the same way. They seem to have understood that there are signs to find such places while thinking that there are no signs to find taxis, subways or even exits.

Take a taxi. there is no way you want to haul all that luggage down and through the Metro and up at the other end - or irritate everyone else on the bus by blocking the aisles.
Every RR station is the world has a taxi line outside (unless you arrive at 4 am) and fares in central Paris are cheap for several people and a mass of luggage.

The RER (express metro) is the fastest and cheapest option, just 2 stops on RER Line 'D' for 1.70 euros each.
But with more than one bag each (yikes!) a taxi may be the better bet. It's about 16 euros from Nord to Gare de Lyon.
To reach the taxi rank walk off the end of the Eurostar platform, turn sharp right, and there it is out of the side entrance.
There are often long queues for a taxi, that's the only thing.

People travel half way across the world, at great expense, laden with bags, jetlagged, tired, hot and sweaty, dying for a long drink and a rest and still wonder if it's worth spending €20 on a cab.
I'd schlep all my bags on and off public transport, up and down stairs, watching them in case someone tries to steal something either from them or from me to save the equivalent of $12!
