? Gare du Nord Banlieu
Hi All,
Planning to visit Auvers sur Oise from Paris. Bahn_de shows trains leaving from "Gare du Nord" and "Gare du Nord Banlieu". Where is the Banlieu part of Gare du Nord? Thanks ((I)) |
If you look on the plan du quartier on ratp.fr, it shows the Gare du Nord with "Espace Grandes Lignes" noted at the tracks furthest left...I'm thinking the remaining tracks (those on the right) are those that service the banlieu.
It doesn't look like they are at a different location per se. |
Main line tracks on the left, suburban tracks on the right. Once you spot your train on the suburban departure board, just go to whatever track number it says. There are signs.

The suburban lines are indeed to one side and, if memory serves, upstairs, with a bit of a shopping centre and upgraded waiting spaces for local buses.
But a word of warning - last time I tried looking for the timetable for the right trains to Auvers, I had some trouble. There didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the layout of the noticeboards - I'm used to having them all in one place in alphabetical order. Departure announcements may be a different matter, of course. Bear in mind Auvers is on a sort of branch line, which means you have to change. This information on the SNCF's own site for suburban trains might be of interest: http://www.transilien.com/web/site/a...r-Oise/lang/en |
You might also want to check the timetables - it looks as though it might be a bit quicker, at some times, to go from Gare St Lazare.

Thank you all for your help.
