Gare de Lyon to the Latin Quartier

What would be the easiest way to get to hotel (near the Metro stop Odeon) from Gare de Lyon; will have some luggage.

The easiest way is to take a taxi. It's not all that far and it won't be too costly. If you take the metro, you're going to end up changing at Chatelet Les Halles. To me, it's not worth the hassle.

I did it by bus #63 - it was in the mid-afternoon on a Sunday so not really crowded - I had a small suitcase on wheels. I'm sure it would be easy to get a taxi at the Gare if you wanted to.

True, Gare de Lyon is surprisingly close to the Latin Qtr. I agree to take a taxi-less trouble.

Unless the Gay Pride parade is going on, in which case it will take you a half an hour, cost you $30, and you will be dropped off two blocks from your hotel because all the thoughways are closed! :-)
