Garden tours in Tuscany....advice, please!

Any insight on these gardens/villa? We'll be in Tuscany for a week in mid-October.

La Foce (Garden tours on W only)
Villa Vignammagio
La Ragnaia Woods {Gardens in San Giovanni d’Asso}
Rocca Aldobrandesca Castle

Any others to consider?

Thank you.

There's a large amount of useful information on the gardens of Tuscany on this web site: http://www.gardens-of-tuscany.net/

The tour of La Foce was so memorable! Especially after reading the books of Ms. Origo.

There is another garden near Volterra which is interesting also, can't remember the name.

One of the most celebrated is the garden at I Tatti; not sure if you would be able to arrange a visit, as they are quite restrictive in their admissions policy unless you have a Harvard connection:

In Fiesole, Villa Medici and Villa Gamberaia might be worth your while.

Villa Arreghetti, near Florence..
