GAETA, SPERLONGA OR FORMIA

My husband and I want to go for a week relaxing and seeing beautiful places. Which city is better to stay? We enjoy beaches and the famous "piazzeta" in Italy
Thanks for any help

I don't know Formia, but I think I'd pick Sperlonga over Gaeta. If you have a week in the area, though, I'd certainly visit Gaeta as well as the many interesting inland towns.

At Sperlonga? Bete

Two years ago we stayed at a lovely hotel in Formia, The Grand Hotel Miramare. We had a nice room with a balcony. We were there in late Septeember so the pool was closed. The beach was very nice. We were there only one night on our way to Ischia so I can't tell you whether there is enough in the town to keep you busy for a week.

Sorry, bete:

We rented a place on the ocean not far from Sperlonga for a week a few years ago, so I didn't get to check out any hotels.

Thanks anyway StCirq, I begin to love this travel. I will try something at Sperlonga. Is the city on a hill? I mean there is any stairs to get the city centre? Is better to stay by the beach?
