All BA flights out of Heathrow have been cancelled today, 19 juli.

The British Airways staff strike at Heathrow airport is now over, but it will take some time to figure out all the flights that were affected.

If you are concerned about the status of your flight, BA has set up a special telephone line for passenger information, on 0800 727800.

BA is also cutting previously scheduled fall trips between U.S.A., which will negatively impact those who already purchased tickets for travel.

BA is still having major problems sorting out all the flights that have been backlogged as a result of a short-lived staff walkout this past weekend. Over 1000 (one THOUSAND) people still stranded at Heathrow.

Its realy a shame that a union can hold this much power. I believe this was all over some new electronic cards that they want them to use to register their work hours. So whats the biggie? I guess that they are afraid they are really gonna get caught slacking and have to register their true work hours. What a shame, this is something the regular work world has to do and we don't get to strike. Frankly I think this kind of action should be illegal and they all should be fired.

Remember when Ronald Reagan fired all the air traffic controllers for going on strike? That was a crowning moment in the failure of a union.

It's a shame that these people caused such a disruption and play such a big role in distroying the company they work for. There is an old saying and it goes, "don't sh*t where you eat."

Oh and excuse me but I just returned from Newark airport because of a cancelled flight which I believe was because of the pilots unwillingness to work extra hours.

I just flew in from Heathrow earlier today. The lines are long but flights are moving. It was much quicker checking our luggage in at Paddington Station and then taking the Heathrow Express. I did see a sign, though, that BA will be ending this service at the end of July.

BA is still having difficulty getting all their backlogged flights organized.

And according to the BBC news tonight, near-future strikes by staff may be looming....
