can someone tell me the distance between Kempten and Fussen, need to drop hire car of in Kempten but is Fussen a better place to stay over night, what would you suggest. thanks in advance.

Assuming you mean Kempten in Bavaria, it's 45 km. and about 41 minutes according to viamichelin.com

Ettal wasn't a bad place to stay. It had about 6-7 very nice pensions.
