Jeanne, I have never been to Paris but Italian women love their furs. If I were you when I did not wear it I would leave out in the room, over the back of a chair for example. That way it would be more obvious if someone stole it. No point having something if you don't use it..unless it has great sentimental value and having it stolen would cause you a great deal of heartbreak. I would take a photo of it at home and leave the photo at home (for insurance purposes). Have a wonderful trip.

I've seen fur coats in Paris, Salzburg, and parts of Germany. While I am myself opposed to wearing fur, I can understand why people find it so nice when the weather turns extremely cold.
|
I was in Saltzburg the first Sun. in Dec. and saw more fur coats that day than I have seen my whole life. The weather was quite cold and these ladies were toasty.
Have a great trip. CJ |
I am not a fan of furs, but I will leave that out of this discussion. I think it's very courageous of you to post this question.
I have 2 rules for packing: 1. Do not take anything bulky unless you really need it and 2. Do not take anything of great monetary value. Therefore I suggest leaving the fur at home and take another warm coat. |
JeanneB, since it is a jacket I would take it, you will be nice and warm and it shouldn't be too bulky. Last March I folded mine and laid it lengthwise in the overhead in the plane, worked out fine.

Sorry David your too expensive for me, you had better stick to the other lover of furs...Elton.
Which reminds me about the headline of the sun newspaper, which was being read by the BBC breakfast people in their morning review. "Elton takes David up the Aisle" The poor presenter nearly choked, that will teach her to prepare her script eh ! Oops sorry I digress. ;-) Muck |
That was the headline on the front page of the mirror too. It made me laugh out loud.
Elton's a married man now - he has no need of "extras". |
