Funny Sign: Newcastle Tramway

In Newcastle, UK there are signs along the tramway route that say:
"Touching Wires Causes Instant Death", followed on the next line by
"L200 (pounds) Fine"
Which is likely to deter miscreants the most? Death or a 200 pound fine? How many folks have paid the 200 pound fine?
I have pictures of this sign that some beaucratic incredibly thought up.

Nothing funny! You touch the wires, die, and L200 get deducted out of your estate value.

Shoot, I can top that. About two months ago, right here in Midwest, U.S.A, my neighborhood convenience store was advertising a sale on its big sign:

"Lays - 2 for $5."

I almost stopped on my way to work. ;;)

If you die AND get a fine don't come running to me to complain.
