Ok, here is a funny poll of the night.

How many of you fodorites, while traveling in Europe, found possible love? Ok, maybe not lifelong love, but how about the kind of love where you have coffee with a complete stranger? Maybe steal a kiss or two? Or even better, met someone that you longed for even after returning home????

Yes! I totally am!

I mean, of course it is nice to dream about possibly meeting a nice person in a different land and following in the steps of many ancestors ago and traveling and moving away for love!

But, at this point in my life, and my current dry spell, I would be thrilled, thrilled with a nice peck on the cheek!

The last four times I have gone to Paris (solo) I have found "romance". I had one night down by the Seine that I'll never forget if I live to be 100.

When a person is traveling to new places and leaving the daily grind of mundance concerns behind for awhile, it is a time that leaves someone much more open to all sorts of new experiences and romance can be one of them.

So when are you planning to come over

Any woman can find as much romance as she would like in Italy, no matter her age or shape. Italian men just looove women. I think it can get obnoxious if you're a real hot number, but if you don't get as much play at home as you would like, Italy is the place to go!

And it's true, on vacation, you're more likely to let your hair down a little. I haven't "hooked up" per se. But I did meet someone on a dating site. I already had a trip planned to NY and he was there. We communicated for over a month before meeting. I had a fun 3 days with him. But...EWWWWW, he fell in love with me and I look back and ask myself, what the HELL was I thinking. My answer: I obviously wasn't thinking straight!
