funny language mistakes

hello everyone! I am doing a school project and I wanted to know if anyone has any funny language mistakes, when trying to talk the native language in foreign countries. Thanks!

Hi RTF,

That reminds me of a conference I attended. The speakers were setting up their slides and a Japanese Prof got angry at his grad student when he saw that a slide had the word "Poryester".

"You fool", he exclaimed, "It's not 'Poryester', it's 'PoRyester'.

Hi - a few weeks ago we were touring around in Provence when our car broke down. We called the rental car emergency line and I instructed my husband to say that the car is not working after checking our well-used phrase book("ne marche pas"). However, in the rush it came out ne mange pas (not eating). The service guy seemed to appreciate this!
