We stayed at the Novecento and it was fine but we were not wowed and it was not cheap. I would look elsewhere next trip. Check out this place as they offer kitchenettes: http://www.residencedrapperie.com/
While I would be happy to share the name of the wine bar, we did not keep a card from there. It was located on a side street that was pedestrian only and had barrels made from tables as outside seating. Perhaps someone will recognize it from that description and post the name. We enjoyed a nice dinner and good music one evening at the Cantina Bentivoglio, a wine and jazz bar. http://www.cantinabentivoglio.it/english/winebar.html We also enjoyed our meal at Ristorante Matusel: http://www.matusel.it/ serving Sicilian cuisine. We had one bad meal in Bologna at a recommended restaurant and I wish I had the name of it. My calamari tasted and smelled strong and I sent it back. The chef sent a message that there was nothing wrong with it and I was charged anyway. All I can recall about this place was that it was down a narrow alley and was all brick with a garden theme. If you come across a place like that, run. |
