From Venice Airport to Hotel Pausania, Dorsoduro area

Jump to last reply

In September four of us are planning with a travel agent to fly into Venice for 3-4 days, take the train to Florence for 3-4 days, and fly home from Florence. Hotels include the Hotel Pausania in Dorsoduro along the Rio San Barnaba in Venice, and Hotel Paris in Florence. "Private Car Transfer" option from Venice Airport to Hotel Pausania is quoted at $73 per person equating to $146 couple and $292 for the four of us!
How can we get to our Venice hotel for a more reasonable price? Although seniors we're capable of walking with luggage reasonable distances from the Grand Canal or train station if necessary. THANKS
