From St. Pancras train station to the Hilton London Tower bridge?

Hello,

Please help. We are going from Paris Nord to London St. Pancras. How do we get from St. Pancras train station to the Hilton located at 5 More London Place in Tooley St.?

Is this quicker than flying form Paris to London Heathrow and getting a cab to hotel?

Thanks,

I suspect the time will probably be about the same for the two options, air or rail.

You can figure out the public transit route from St. Pancras by looking at the Journey Planner at www.thetube.com .

You could also take a cab from St. Pancras. Ballpark guess is that this will be about 15-20 pounds, if there is not much traffic.

If you do decide to fly, book a car service rather than taking a much more expensive taxi.

You can take the Northern line from St Pancras to London Bridge (5 stops), then walk to your hotel. From your hotel's website, it's "a few minutes' walk" from London Bridge tube station. This is the most direct way with no need to change tube lines.

OHL: yes, it's quicker and simpler, bearing in mind the faff and hassle of getting to and from airports, security checks and God knows what. Less than two and a half hours from city centre to city centre by train; tube to London Bridge from St Pancras would be about 10-15 minutes.

However, you will have some stairs to climb to get out from the Northern Line - follow the signposting for the National Rail exit to begin with, not the apparently more direct escalators that will take you to the side exit on Borough High St.

More London is the complex of glass-fronted blocks next to the City Hall building by the south side of Tower Bridge. From London Bridge you have a walk of about half a mile, either along Tooley St or along the river. Come out of the tube station at the Tooley St exit and cross over the road to turn right. You might well find a taxi coming along there; the 47, 343 and RV1 buses from the stop slightly to the left of the tube exit would go past More London as well.

I take back that "half a mile" - it's much less than that from the Tooley St tube exit, perhaps a couple of hundred yards.
