From Sintra to Belem
Hi
We will stay in Sintra for few days in July Is the train to Rossio and then tram 15 to Belem the best way or you can advise on a better way of transportation? Thanks |
yes

That or renting a car.
|
That, or get the bus to Cacais and the train from Caiscais to Belem. This avoids going into Lisbon and might be easier.
|
The local buses from Sintra to Cascais are run by a company with the unlikely name of Scotturb (www.scotturb.com).
The journey via Rossio and the city centre is probably quicker. |
As I recall, the train from Sintra to Caís do Sodré has a stop called Belem; but it's about 1,000m past the Discoveries Monument and the Centro Cultural de Belem (Center of Belem's attractions). It's the last Station-stop before Caís do Sodré.
My info is several years old. |
Belem is on the railway line from Lisboa to Cascais, not on the line to Sintra.

Why wouldn't you want miri to go into Lisbon?? Lisbon is a beautiful city. Take the train to Rossio and then get a cab or take the tram to Belem. Are you going to see the Jeronimos Monastery and the Coaches Museum? Have fun at the Pena Palace looking at all that Meissen. :) Thingorjus |
