From London to FLORENCE for a couple of days?

what do you think? should I do it? Just for a couple of days. I hear there are alot of designer outlets and I want to check them out!

If so, where should I book my airfare? and what city/area should I find hotel accommodations?

Thanks! Im leaving to Europe this Friday! yikes!

It is possible, but at this late stage probably quite expensive. You can fly direct from London Gatwick to Florence on meridiana (http://www.meridiana.it/IG/pages/home_en.aspx) , or to Pisa (1 hour by train to Florence) with Ryanair (Stansted), or BA (Gatwick).

Bologna (BA from Gatwick) or Forli (Ryanair from Stansted) may be other possibilities within 90 minutes of Florence

I wouldn't go but I'm not interested in designer outlets and I imagine that would be the view of the majority on this board. To be honest I wouldn't fly from London to Florence for a couple of days for any reason unless it was all expenses paid or a surprise romantic weekend treat ( not my choice).

I would skip London and head to Paris for a couple of days though.

The word on those designer outlets is that they are very disappointing. There don't seem to be any real deals except if you want to buy a $2000 dress for only $1000. And remember that with the euro so high, you will be paying half again as much as the price tag shows.
