from Florence to Siena via Chianti Road?

I'm planning to stay in Florence for 2 days then head to siena for maybe 2 more days, and I was planning to take a day in between to travel (I'm renting a car) from Florence to Siena through the Chiati Road. How long that usually takes with probably 4 to five stops along the way? Do you know were to get a good map of that area?
Thanks for your ideas.

enanorada,

I haven't tried it yet, but many on this forum said to use mappy.com. If you click on my screen name, you can see that and another recomendation.

My husband and I will be giving it a try also in Oct.

Good luck.

Mappy or the Via Michelin site are both good, when you punch in your destination do it in short sections, ie Florence to Greve, Greve to Castillina etc, easier to navigate in short blocks. The written directions are much easier to follow if your navigator is map challenged !

Thanks a lot. I just tried Mappy and is really easy to use. I did what Marko said and it is working. That's good

Grazie.

There's a map of the full route on this page: http://www.greve-in-chianti.com/gett...-greve-eng.htm
I would advise taking a whole day for the trip - there are many things to see and side roads to explore. Halfway along the route there's a turn-off to Lamole where there's a great place for lunch - very good food and a fabulous view www.lamole.info
