From CDG to Notre Dame... the RER or Metro?
How do we get from the CDG airport to Notre Dame... the RER or Metro? We won't have any luggage, just have a free day before taking the TGV to the Loire Valley. And, does anyone know the line we take, the cost and how long the ride is. Thanks, Sandy

The RER is the suburban commuter lines. RER B (blue line) services CDG airport. I'd take the RER B line to the St Michel/Notre Dame stop and walk to Notre Dame. You could switch to the Metro Line 4 at Les Halles/Chatelet and get off at the Cite stop, but you'll walk as much underground in Les Halles as you will from the the St Michel stop to Notre Dame.
It's about 9 euro from the airport into Paris and takes (as I recall) about 40 minutes. |
Save yourself a lot of grief by going to
www.ratp.fr and use the trip planner. |
I don't think the Metro goes to CDG. You will have to take the RER, and then either walk or switch to the Metro to reach Notre Dame. You should get a Metro map and look at the stops.
