from airport to Rome proper

What is the least expensive way to get from the Airport into the city of Rome? Had luggage stolen on our last trip, so the vans make me nervous.

Hi margreee, you don't say when you will be arriving in Italy but just wanted to mention during this period the Italian taxi drivers have been on strike in the main cities of Italy including Rome. I don't know what the status is today.

Some hotels offer shuttle service, at a discounted price. I only paid 13EUR from the airport to Hotel Julia. Have you asked your hotel?

Thanks for your help. The train is now called the DaVinci Express, and it is quick and easy, and inexpensive!
