Frist Euro Trip.2 females. 3 month's

Hi Everyone!

My best friend and I are heading off to our first real euro trip in June for three month's. We have both been to Europe before to stay with family when we were young kids as she is Russian and I am Croation/Serbian, however have not gone on a real exploration of Europe yet.

I am looking for any sort of advice regarding things not to miss on, how much money we should anticipate to spend, places to stay/avoid, if we need money belts, easiest way to do local things and nightlife, etc. etc. etc.

So far we only have our flight there and book backed and we anticipating to begin booking things in between soon.

Our rough itiniery is as follows:

Barcelona, ibiza, southern france, italy, croatia, belgrade, greece, istanbul, back up to amsterdam and finally home from venice.

Thank you!! i Iook forward to hearing from this community :)

Where are you coming from/returning to? Your itinerary seems to include a lot of backtracking, which translates to more expense. I assume you realize that your "three months" can not be more than 90 days, unless you are EU residents?

I would suggest that you pick up a guidebook or two and read them. Doing that will help you narrow down the places you'll want to visit and what to see in these places. They'll also give you information about transportation, accommodation, etc.

nukesafe, Croatia, Serbia, and Turkey will not count toward the Schengen time.

I agree about the backtracking, the order should optimally be reordered.

Some people take money belts, but I don't bother. Easiest way to find out about local things and night life is to spend longer in a given place (and know the language). Beyond that, more specific questions would help.

You will be in Southern Europe in the hottest months. I'm not sure if that matters to you.

the plan was to be in southern europe for the hottest month ahah we love the heat :) we tried very hard to not backtrack and thought we wernt.. we are trying to kind of follow the southern coast.. the one thing we have booked in yacht week which is july19-26 so we must be in croatia then everything else is unplanned yet so any tips would be appreciated...

we are landing in barcelona and flying out from venice.. to and from toronto

does anyone recommend booking accomidations through air b n b.. we were thinking to do a mix of these apartments, some hotels and very few hostels

It's the "Back up to Amsterdam and finally home from Venice" part that's the real backtrack. If Croatia has to be in the middle of your 3 months, backtracking may be unavoidable. But maybe something like this might work: Spain> fly to Amsterdam>fly Istanbul> Greece> Serbia> Croatia > southern and/or central Italy> south of France> northern Italy.

It depends on how long you were planning on visiting in each of the cities/areas you're going to.

You say where you were born but don;t mention your current citizenship. Have you looked into the necessity of visas? You will definitely need one for Turkey - but may also for other countries.

Not a trip I would do in the summer = but if you love 90s and humid go for it.

Yes we have checked everything out with the visas and we are covered appropriately :)

Can anyone identify any concerns in relation to safety? We are a little skeptical since we are two young females.. Any places to avoid or should we relax a little
