If you are offering them back to us, I'll take The Bahamas less Nassau.

Jamaica can stay independent as far as I am concerned.

since I last counted, have exceeded 75 and all 50 states, all independently, all Canadian provinces, Labrador and Baffin Island. But I've been at it much longer than most..since 1946. As I've said before, it really isn't the number of countries..it's rather the quality and depth of your visit.

Unfortunately, that will be my final number as overseas travel has ended due to wife's incapacitation. No regrets...I've had one helluva run since I was a 17-18 year old soldier in Japan (which I revisted in 2007).

I will still get vicarious kicks by helping Fodorites and many friends and family with their travel plans. Just sent a cousin off on his honeymoon with a 6-page itinerary for Barcelona, and two friends with a detailed itin for Britany. I've been scanning all of my pre-digital travel pics(pre-2004)and will share with anyone. I have completed every last country in Continetal Europe, many in Asia, South America, Africa and Aust and NZ, etc. and missed Antarctica. Finally got to Alaska my 50th state two years ago.

Happy, meaningful, exciting travels to all...and don't you dare put off travel plans..at times, there is no tomorrow. So keep on truckin' kiddos.

Hello from Croatia, everyone! This country and Slovenia were officially added to my list this past week... and just today, I added Bosnia-Herzegovina!

The total stands at 31. Sassy cat has me beat by one.

(Trip report when we return, I promise. Ciao.)

Looking forward to your trip report and photos

OK, so add Portugal, Czech, Hong Kong, Macau, Peru, Singapore and Indonesia to my previous total. That makes...38 now. And Belgium is coming up soon.

Fun idea! I was not around when the thread started, but I would love to see the updates.

I've been to 24 countries to date on 5 continents (Australia and Antarctica missing). I'll visit #25 and #26 in December (Argentina and Chile). Also have visited 29 US states to date.

I'm 29 so I've got time to inch the number up, but am planning to travel a lot in the next few years before kids!

I didn't find Fodors until 2006, so didn't take part in the 2004 lists. Have added quite a few countries since then, too. Total now is 74, I think, and if I counted Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland separately it would be 77. Let's see...

UK (born there), France, Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar, Italy, Vatican City, Monaco, Malta, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Greece, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Transnistria

Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Russia, South Korea, Japan, China (are we counting Hong Kong separately?), Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan

Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco

Australia, New Zealand

US (live there), Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands (plus a couple of other islands I'm not sure about, it was a long time ago)
