French Riviera AND Corsica?
Hi travel friends! Sorry in advance if this is long.
My husband and I have about 8 solid days, after travel, to spend on our vacation this summer. I am dying to go to France, particularly Paris, French Riviera and Corsica. We've never been to any.
Our dilemma mostly arises because my parents are taking a European cruise this summer also, so we are trying to plan our trip around theirs so we can meet up with them, due to some health issues, we may never have this opportunity again.
My parents arrive in Barcelona, then go to Marseille, Monte Carlo, St-Tropez, Corsica, some places in Italy and end in Rome. Unfortunately they only spend one day at each port.
Originally, we thought about meeting them in Barcelona for a few days before heading out on our own to the French Riviera. But now I'm worried, that's just too much.
Should we just spend our whole trip in the French Riviera? If we meet them in France, where would be a good spot to do so between Monte Carlo and St-Tropez?
If not just in the French Riviera, do we add on Barcelona, Paris or Corsica?
Thank you for your help! I know there are a lot of factors at play here.

Thanks for the insight!
As for Barcelona being too much, I'm not sure if it is. Not being familiar with travel between those two locations, I thought it might be hard (or expensive) to do both. Also, I would say Barcelona was on the bottom of my list to visit and was only considering it given it might be easier to spend a few days there with my parents versus anywhere else.

Is there anywhere else your parents will be in one place for more than a day?
I worked out a very rough plan of flying into Barcelona and out of Marseilles but did not make the trip. There are some lovely trip reports here about the area north of Barcelona (see Girona).
Between Monte Carlo and St-Tropez, Nice would be the obvious choice for flights anyway. good luck!
