French & Germany Wine or Any Other Festivals in August

Chris, <BR>You won't encounter any wine festivals as early as the beginning of August. Most don't occur until about the second week of September through October and in some cases well into November. Are there any other types of festivals? Assuredly there are but where will you be? It's difficult to recommend festivals and fairs not knowing more specifics regarding your itinerary and your interests. Fill us in with some details. Where will you be, when?

Germany's Mosel Valley has quite a few small-town wine festivals in August. <BR> <BR>8/4-7 Ellenz-Poltersdorf <BR>8/4-7 Klotten <BR>8/4-6 Mesenich <BR>8/4-6 Nehren <BR>8/11-14 Ediger-Eller <BR> <BR>On the Rhine, Koblenz (and neighboring towns) has the "Rhine in Flames" fireworks festivities on Aug 12. <BR> <BR>Rüdesheim has a wine festival from Aug. 18 -21 if you'll be around that late. <BR> <BR>Enjoy.
