French countryside/wine country

I am planning a visit to France in the Summer of 2016. One week in Paris, followed by one week ... where? I have a picture in my head, and I'm hoping you all can tell me if it exists, and if so, where. Provence? Burgundy?

A guest house on a working vineyard, comfortable accommodations, perhaps even a pool. A beautiful outdoor table where we can drink the fruits of the vineyard, and eat the local produce and traditional French preparations. An estate where we can enjoy the setting, the wine, the food, and just relax. If not a vineyard, a farm.

Agriturismo is very big in Italy, but I've seen very little on-line regarding France. What I've seen is more "self-catering" than I'm interested in. I want that elusive combination of rustic and luxurious. We travel primarily for food and local flavor. That's consideration #1. I have no regional preference. The experience is what matters most, and we'll go where that experience is.

As always, I appreciate the input of the Fodor's community.

Check out a company like Cork and Fork — http://corkandfork.net — which has the expertise to find the vineyard/B&B of you dreams, if it exists!

Check this one:

and

We had been to Chateau Unang when it was still owned by the Baron. We tasted the wines and bought a few boxes, finding that the red wine developed sensational aromas after maturing a few years. We had not been to Chateau de Mazan, but it certainly looks good (and has a pool).

It is located in the Vaucluse, south of Mont Ventoux, where it is still rural and authentic, yet close to tourist attractions like Fontaine de Vaucluse, Gordes, Avignon, Orange, Arles, Les Baux etc.

Check http://www.chateau-valmy.com/ in Languedoc Roussillon near Collioure and the Spanish border. They have a pool.

Languedoc

"Languedoc"
The name of the Région is Languedoc-Roussillon. Nothing to do with the village of Roussillon in Provence.

If you enjoy Bordeaux, then have a look at this:

http://www.chateau-pitray.com/index1.php

We stayed there a couple of years ago for a long weekend and wished we'd had lots more time. It's not that far from St Emilion, my second most favourite wine area.

You might find this website useful:

It gives lots of choice of hotels in or near vineyards. We've used it several times and always been very happy, although that might have been the wine! :S-

Here's an upscale B&B in a chateau on a vineyard.
http://www.chateau-gigognan.fr/

It's in Sorgue which is to the NE of Avignon.
