Freiburg or Colmar/Strasbourg at Christmas
 

I'm planning a trip to Europe before Christmas and will be spending time already in Germany (Stuttgart, Heidelberg, Ludwigsburg & Tubingen). I have 2 days after the above German itineary before I am going to Paris. We are trying to decide between spending those 2 days in Freiburg or in Alsace (Strasbourg & Colmar). Because it will take 2 hrs via train to get to Freiburg or Strasbourg - it's really 1 & 1/2 days. Any advice on which is better the week before Christmas - for markets and ambiance?

I loved Freiburg. It's a beautiful city, though I don't know anything about Christmas markets.
