Free things for teenagers to do in London

Any suggestions what five teenagers ranging from 16 - 19 (4 boys 1 girl) - can do for free in London for a day next week? The weather doesn't look like it's going to be any good which is a shame so all ideas gratefully received. Thanks.

Museums. The British Museum has something for everyone. They might also like the Museum of London, the Science Museum or the Natural History Museum. The British Museum is the biggy, though.

I'm trying not to be conventionally sexist, but a combination of the V&A (perhaps the excellent jewelry gallery) and the science museum just across the road.

And there are some cheapish places to eat near South Ken tube station.

You might also search things going on next week in www.timeout.com London edition. http://www.timeout.com/london/search...it=1&flag=Free It lets you select to refine your search to things that are free. It is showing 326 free things next week. Should be enough for one day.

For the boys, definitely the Imperial War Museum. Thinking the boys would completely fall asleep at the V&A's jewelry exhibitions. If the girl has any interest in history, she'll like the IWM too.

If weather is reasonable, walk-by of Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament/Big Ben, Whiehall to Horse Guard's then through the Mall, parks to Buckingham Palace.

Thanks for all your replies - I really appreciate it. I'm hoping that the weather is going to improve and they can stay outside and go to Hyde Park and take a boat out etc but they're definitely going to have to have a Plan B!

How about aiming them towards a Let's Go guide book or the Thorn Tree section of the Lonely Planet website - and let them decide what to do. (My daughters helped plan out sightseeing from the time they were 11 and 14.)
