Franninge, Sweden?

After doing a bit of research, I've discovered that my great-grandmother came to the U.S. from Franninge, Sweden. I am fairly certain that it is in the south , not far from Malmo.Have any of you Fodorites been there? I've been searching on the internet, but can't seem to find out anything about it.Anything you can tell me about it would be welcome!

You are right; it is near Malmö.
Go to http://www.fallingrain.com/world/SW/27/Franninge.html. Click on Google links to Franninge, Sweden.
Good luck. I searched for relatives several years ago and now go back yearly to visit about 35 of them. Boots

Bootsīlink gives you the exact location and the information that there are 2742 inhabitants. It is a so small village that it is not even in usual size Atlasses. If you manage to get letter ä you will get more Google results (Itīs real name is Fränninge, a nad ä are different letters), but even those are just in Swedish and some in German (looks like Germans rent summer houses in Fränninge). By googling Malmö and Ystad and Skåne you will at least get info about the area and two nearest towns.
