Frankfurt Train station

We are flying into Frankfurt from San Francisco and want to immediately take a train to Freiburg. When I look at the Db Bahn website I see lots of train stations in Frankfurt, which one is the station at the airport? Is it the Frankfurt(Main)Hbf? Thanks much!

No, Frankfurt(Main)Hbf is the main station in the city of Frankfurt.

The airport is Frankfurt(Main) Flughafen - use this one to all trains from the airport.

There are actually two stations, one for long distance trains Frankfurt(Main) Flughafen Fernbf, and the other for regional trains (Regional Bhf), but use the all encompassing one gave you above.

No. Hbf stands for "Hauptbanhof" or main train station. You may not need to go there at all.

You can search from Frankfurt Flughafen (airport) station, which leaves directly from the airport. It might be listed as Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbf.

Have a great trip.

no "Hbf" is short for Hauptbahnhof - the main railway station.

The abbreviation for the station at FRA is "Flugh", for Flughafen (airport)

"Frankfurt(Main)Flugh" is how it looks on the Bahn.de site.

If you enter "FRA" in the search function on bahn.de the system will understand Frankfurt Airport.

Look for a direct ICE train to Freiburg.
