Frankfurt itinerary review
Arriving 9 am on a Saturday direct from US and leaving for Porto 9 pm on Monday. Staying near train station.

Hi Joe, just briefly, some of your ideas won't work so well. Some of your things are walk-bys (but you will have to cover a bit of territory to get to each of those), others require a fair bit of time. The museums on the museum riverbank are half-day propositions each. Sunday is probably OK if you see the Stadel in the morning and go to the Historical Museum just for lunch - roughly similar area. I think it would also be a good day to visit the applewine pubs in Sachsenhausen (same side of the river). Your Saturday has too many museums in the afternoon - I think just one museum each half day. If you want to see the other things on your list, then you have space for one museum.
I am not sure about the churches - if Protestant they may be open for Sunday but not on other days, as they don't have an open door policy like Catholic churches do. You would have to check out each church. The Palmengarten is also at least a half-day and is a distance from your other attractions. Eschenheimer Turm is a walk-by. You can't go in, and there is nothing else significant there (shops, I think a cinema used to be nearby but that was a while back. I haven't been to Frankfurt in a long time). Maybe you could position Fressgass at a lunch hour so you see it and eat there as well. I highly recommend you prune your list according to the following principles: 1. Use a map and drop pins in so you can see what is logical in an area. 2. Work out which churches you can get into on which days. There is a church that goes back to the 13th century (forgotten name), I would definitely see it. The others may not be as significant, but you know which churches you want, I am sure. 3. No more than one big sight per half day (i.e one museum, one market, etc). 4. Fressgass and Sachsenhausen are sights as well as food opportunities. Römerberg is nice for a drink and watching people, but unless you visit any of the houses there (and confession, I've never done that), it's a photo opportunity but not much to keep you there.
