Frankfurt Hotel with Pool

I have an early (6:00AM) flight out of Frankfurt ,so my daughter and I will be staying in Frankfurt the night of August 8th. I'm looking for a hotel with a pool, my daughter's request (she's 8).

I originally wanted to stay closer to the airport since it will just her and I with the bags, etc. But, since reading previous posts it seems it won't be too big a deal to stay in Frankfurt and I'd rather see a little of the city our last night.

Any recommendations? I'm using points so I'm not too concerned about the cost.

Thanks!

Don't know offhand - but if you go to a site such as hotels.com or travelocity I think they may let you search by amenity - and you can at least find which have pools, then check them out.

The Hilton has a pool. It is right next to a lovely park, a block away from the Alte Oper and the Fressgasse. I am sure that there are some others, but that is the one that I know of for sure. I would also look on www.hrs.com for hotel info.

The alternative to staying in a hotel that will probably be more expensive cause it has a pool, is to go to one of the wonderful indoor pools here, like Rebstock Bad. Has a wave pool, spiral slide, and other fun things.

With the most central location for me also the Hilton comes to mind (can be expensive, has large rooms, but their design is somewhat non-descript and slightly 90ies in decor, especially the dominant light blue and light wood combination, which makes me shudder slightly). Its pool is huge and suitable for a proper workout rather than atmospheric (it used to be the public pool, if I recall correctly).

The Maritim with a decent location at the fair entrance and walkable to Frnakfurt's Westend, also has a pool, but apart from that is a pretty horrible place despite being probably one of the better German Maritim properties (the webpage design is indicative of the aesthetical horrors you'd be exposed to). http://www.maritim.de/typo3/english/...frankfurt.html

Alternatively the very nicely designed Radisson has a pool (pool is smaller in size, but does have a rooftop view, despite being indoors). The drawback for the Radisson is that with its location on the "wrong" side of the fair ground it's not very central for exploring the city (but just a quick and easy cab ride from the airport due to its proximity to the Autobahn). Often some attractive prices.

Even closer to the airport, the Steigenberger also has a pool, but is not convenient for sightseeing in the city either.

Hi Betty - on one visit to Frankfurt I stayed at The Marriott Courtyard. It had large rooms with comfortable beds, a free airport shuttle, and a nice rooftop pool. I think I paid $50 on Priceline. The only drawback was all of the naked Japanese businessmen at the pool.

We stayed at the Steigenberg Hof in town - it didn't have a pool, but it was close everything - shopping, entertainment, etc. We were glad that everything was within a short walk.
