lufthansa flight to fra from lax, returning from munich is $608, until may 17, when it doubles. should i buy now or hope for lower fare in january?

Sounds really good but be sure to check taxes and fees. I'm finding that Lufthansa's add-ons typically run $100-$200 more than the other guys. If $608 is all inclusive, I'd grab it!

How can Lufthansa's "add-ons" be higher for a flight if it is leaving from the same airport as those "other guys?"

All I know is what I see and in doing searches for our trip next summer it's happened several times that Lufthansa's base price has been lower than others but their end price exceeds that of the competition. Maybe they have a higher fuel surcharge than others, I don't know.

I'm just suggesting that the original poster make sure he/she is comparing the bottom line when looking at pricing.

Absolutely buy that fare now. I fly Lufthansa from LAX and lately have been paying a lot more. Grab it.

I bought SFO-FRA-MUC-SFO at the end of Oct on an UA-LH code share for travel over this Christmas for $466.00. Bought it through Orbitz and could not match the fare on either UA's website or Lufthansa's.
