Frankfurt ariport/mid December/delays?
 

Hi, Can someone tell me how often does the Frankfurt airport get closed down for snow in mid December, or does this ever happen? I have to make a connection to Nuremberg/train from FF, and am trying to allow for any problems. Thanks. Delays not the issue, but a day or two could be a problme.

Mid-December would be really unusual for such severe weather condition to shut down the airport even for several hours, not days.
Winter conditions "usually" do not start until mid to end of January in Germany.

thanks cowboy, that is reassuring. Got some connections to make that I am trying to fine tune.

In Frankfurt, fog is more likely to be a problem in December than snow but even then it's not that common.
