It looks like it'll take 2 or 3 changes, and a combination of train and bus.

Now here's another question, i'm planning on buying a Eurail pass for Germany/France. Will all of these trains be covered in the pass or will i have to purchase extra tickets?

The closest train station to Engstingen is Reutlingen.
Coming from Frankfurt airport, you should not have to use a bus to Darmstadt, but take train from airport to Stuttgart, one change there to a regional train to Reutlingen.
Some connections will require an additional transfer at Mannheim.
Only the very last leg from Reutlingen to Engstingen should be by bus, unless on your date of travel there will be some works on the main rail lines.
As that bus will serve several stops in the Engstingen community (actually the twin village of Klein- and Grossengstingen) it would be best to ask the hotel or people you plan to visit what the name of nearest bus stop is. Or ask for pick-up at Reutlingen station.
