Frankfurt airport hotel

We have an 8 hour layover in Frankfurt between two eleven hour flights. We want to get a hotel room as close and easy to get to as possible for some sleep and shower. Any suggestions are welcome!

There are two Hiltons in the Squaire, which adjoins the airport, and two other hotels just a little further away (a Marriott and a Sheraton). I have never stayed in any of them but you can't get much closer in to the airport than these. I have stayed at the Steigenberger before these hotels were built and it's fine, a little sterile, and a bit more distant from the airport, but there is a regular free shuttle (like every 15 minutes. But if I ever have a night at the airport again it will be in the Hilton Garden Inn because of the location.

I just saw an ad for the My Cloud Hotel in the airport. Is it as easy to get to as it looks?

I didn't even know about My Cloud until just now. I checked them out. It certainly looks good, doesn't it? Probably that would meet your needs better than the Squaire as you will not lose time by clearing immigration, which in these times is unpredictable at best. Even before Covid we were often running to get to the gate on time because of the queues and the huge distances between gates and terminals at Frankfurt. Of course you won't have your suitcase so remember to pack your PJs in your hand luggage.

If you stay, report back here with a review - people often ask about hotels in Frankfurt (also in the city). It would be nice to have a refresh of some of that information.
