Frankfort day trip

Accompanied husband to Frankfurt for business. Enjoyed exploring Frankfort but am looking for a day trip. 2 hrs via train either way. Suggestions?

Oops- title should be Frankfurt.

Marburg, the historical university city with its old town on the hillside and the castle on top, will meet every picture book image of old world Germany - think half-timbered houses, cobblestone alleys and everything. One hour by train from Frankfurt.

I have been to Frankfurt 4 times with my DH and took a ton of day trips by myself via trains; I'll list them here in no special order unless I comment. If you have specific questions, I'll be glad to try to help.

But first--have to taken a Frankfurt on Foot walking tour? Highly recommended http://www.frankfurtonfoot.com/

Trips:

Mainz (been 3 times, maybe my fave)
Worms 2 times
Speyer
(those 3 all have fantastic doms, plus more)

along the Rhine by rail/boat--Rheinfels, St. Goar, Rheinstein, Rudesheim--those took 2 days)

Koln (Cologne)--I think it's less than 2 hrs on fastest train)
Heidelberg 3 times
Marburg as above--loved it
Budingen
Weisbaden 2 times
Hochst (this is actually where we stayed, due to DH's work, but it's worth a visit from Frankfurt proper)
Michelstadt for Christmas market but was cute
Limburg
Fulda
Idstein (but put far down on any list)
Nuremberg (but was a loooonnngg day)

If DH ends up being able to drive you anywhere, ask again for further afield ideas
