Francevacations and hotel choice
 

We are thinking to get reservation for hotel+flight from Francevacations for a mid of September.
We are looking into MOULIN VERT hotel in 14 district. We try to avoid areas with very expensive stores and restaurants.
Any comments about Francevacations or our hotel choice?

Update: in Paris

We did a France Vacations package a few years back to Paris, and like you, we don't like areas with expensive stores, restaurants.

We stayed right next to Luxembourg Gardens, which turned out to be a great area. We walked everywhere and everything was down-to-earth and very reasonable.

We stayed at the Clos de Medicis. Very cute, charming, great staff. I'd highly recommend it if France Vacations still offers it. Link is below.

The Moulin Vert is in the 14th arrondissement, which for some is considered not 'central'. It has some nice neighborhoods and the occasional little pockets of 1-2 story houses with gardens.
There are a lot of shops on rue d'Alesia and ave du Gen Leclerc, including two Monoprix. Parc Montsouris is very lovely, and the BEST overlook of Paris is at the top of Tour Montparnasse.
I haven't explored the area around Metro Pernety but I read that it is undergoing a bit of renewal so that might be nice to explore.
Other than that, the Metro and bus make it very easy to traverse the city and your hotel location will be just fine.
