There are lots of things in Paris to interest a 12 year old. What does he like to do activity wise, and what are his interests?

Versailles, climbing the Eiffel Tower (by the stairs, not the elevator), and visiting bakeries were our 12-year-old daughter's three favorite things in Paris.

When we took our pre-teen son to Paris, some of the things he liked best were Musee d'larmee, climbing to the top of L'arc de triomphe, seeing Napoleon's tomb, Sacre Couer(sp?), Luxumburg Gardens, & surprisingly he like the gardens at the Rodin Museum. He also liked stopping at the bakery each morning to get some of that hot fresh bread. Also liked eating at the sidewalk cafes, getting sandwiches from the carts, & any place he could get an omllette from. We taught him some French words to use when ordering & when asking for the bill. He enjoyed interacting, & the workers at the restaurants & hotel enjoyed talking with him. Other than the gardens, he didn't care too much for Versailles may have been a bit too much for him.

My son loves Paris! The first time he went he was 10. He enjoyed taking care of the Metro-mapping our destinations & making sure we got on the right line. He loved the bakeries, chocolate, Amorinos, the outdoor markets...walking up as far as possible on the Eiffel Tower, seeing all the gargoyles in the city, going to a soccer match, eating crepes late at night, rummaging through books at the stalls along the Seine. Now he is 12 & we are returning next month. He is looking forward to the Salvador Dali museum plus all the excitement of the World Cup atmosphere. Oh, and he found the Catacombs fascinating.
