France, Greece, Italy or Spain for a month?

Hi,
I have the opportunity to go to France, Greece, Italy, or Spain for a month this summer with a seniors tour. The trip would be the entire month of July.

In France, I would travel to Paris, Strasbourg, the Swiss Alps and Nice. In Greece, the tour visits Athens, the Pepolonese (sp?), Rome and Pompeii. In Italy, I could go to Rome, Venice, Siena and Florence and in Spain I could go to Barcelona and Costa Brava.

Which one of these tours sounds the best? I live in Florida and I've never been to Europe so I'm looking for some fun. I love beaches and natural beauty but I'm also interested in architecture, museums etc. So far I'm leaning towards Italy but I'd love some input.
Thanks
Guy

Follow your feelings and opt for Italy!

It would definitely be my recommendation, too.

Thanks a lot for your opinion! Italy does look great.. but so does everywhere else! Anyone else have advice?

I do love Italy, but in July I would stay north and do the Paris and Alps itinerary.

OK, here are a few reasons for my recommendation: Italy is beautiful, both its natural scenery and its towns and cities. Italy has, according to UNESCO, about 60% of the world's heritage of art and architecture. The Italian people, with a few exceptions, such as you would find anywhere, are warm and welcoming. Italian food is wonderful, as is Italian wine.

I love France, Greece and Spain, but in my opinion, none of them offers as great a combination of pleasures as Italy.

Bob's advice would be my natural inclination.

But the first three words of Eloise's reply are the most important.

Best wishes,

Rex

I would choose Italy. While I love Paris, the rest of the France itinerary doesn't look as interesting to me. Italy is beautiful, wonderful, full of natural beauty and the museums and architecture you seek. For your first trip to Europe, I think the Italy option has the most to offer.

I love the four, it's not an easy decision !! I would say Spain if you could visit something more, it looks too much a month only for Barcelona and Costa Brava, probably you will finish it fed up of the beach :) So I think it's a better travel option right now Italy or France :) Maybe you could have the chance to visit Spain in another tour next year !!
