France - Best dates for Belon oysters
 

We're planning a trip to France this Fall and would like advice on the best time (in the range September 15 to November 15) to find excellent Belon oysters.

Our itinerary will include five days in Paris and a couple weeks in Bretagne and Normandy.

Any tips for purveyors, restaurants, oyster bars or whatever would also be helpful.

In Belon, Chez Jaky, it's just outside of Pont Avan.

I saw the Anthony Bourdain segment at Chez Jacky. I really wanted to be there diving into that "Plateaux de fruits de mer"!

Oh, I missed that!!

there's also a wonderful place for crepes in that tow.

I saw that. My D H & I are really looking forward to sharing the "Plateaux de fruits-de-mer. We hope to arrive in Belan (Volcanic dust cloud permitting) June 2 ND .
