I will be attending a wedding early next summer in the vicinity of Angers, France. Since I will be there for the wedding, I would like to take a few weeks to explore the area. My thoughts right now are to rent an Airbnb to use as my base and explore the outlying area. Are there little towns in the Loire Valley that would be fun to explore? Is there train service in the area? I would rather not rent a car but will, if it is more beneficial and if there are no train systems in that area. If possible, I would also like to visit Luxembourg for a couple of days. I would be appreciative of any information that can be provided. Thanks.

Yes lots of little towns all linked by train, or rented bicycle
In France the thing you want to search on is Gite which pre-dates Airbnb by about 50 years
the big site is https://www.gites-de-france.com
but every small town will have a website where you can find this sort of place often well cheaper than AirBnb
Saumur and Chinon are amongst my favorites in the area.
