Jinky - that's terrific! I'm so glad you got a resolution - and thanks for sharing it with us. Four Seasons stays on my "good" list.....

Congratulations on your coming marriage, too!

I will absolutely post when we get back.

I'm still blown away by their generosity. Also I was told it's just a remodel of the 4th and 5th floor, not heavy construction, etc. And that we probably wouldn't even hear anything on teh first floor. However they want it to be perfect for us, therby extending the suite, etc. They would have given us a Presidential Suite, but they are the ones being remodelled on the 4th floor.

As it is, the Premium Suite we will be staying in is 1756 square feet!

Sounds great!

I have always found Four Seasons to be really generous and considerate and would have been surprised if they had handled your much more important matter differently.

walkinaround,

I don't agree. Neither you nor I were wrong. We both said that the hotel does not owe the OP anything, but it's possible to work the problem through if approached the right way.

Congratulations to the OP! and have a beautiful (but it will be cold ) honeymoon!!! I'm sure the 2 of you will make it hot....

Congratulations on your wedding, Jinky. I saw your post after you resolved your issue, and I am happy to see that the Four Seasons resolved it in the manner that you would expect from a hotel that prides themselves on being a class act. I think they went above and beyond what they had to do- although I agree with other posters that they really were obligated to do something. Enjoy!

Well, it's been 5 years, and here I am, finally letting all of you know that it was FANTASTIC. Perfection at every turn, and highly recommended.

Next month we are off to Italy.

Thanks again to all of you.
