Found Roman coins.

Ciao everyone,

Just returned from Italy last week and wanted to give you the info on where to purchase Roman Coins. I found a place in Roma. The owner is very nice and honest. The coin shop is Francobolli-Monete e Accessoir Vari located off of Via Due Macelli,106
(near the Spanish Steps).
Telephone # 06 6793959.
If you go to the coin shop it is located in the back after you past a couple of other stores. The shop offers a hugh variety of coins. The price range is from 10.00 euro- to
several hundred euro. I was able to purchase 2 bronze coins that date back to 276 and 285 A.D. for 25 euro each that were in very good condition. The shop owned was able to determine the exact date of the coins, and who the emperor was at that time peroid.
Hope this helps. Louie.

Robespierre Oct 16th, 2004 05:45 PM

I got a great deal from a kid under the Eiffel Tower. I got a Roman coin that had been excavated in the Paris region for only €50. It says "75 BC" right on it!
