I meant Herend porcelain . If the OP is just there one day and going to other places that have Euro it could be much easier to use euro StCirq

Thank you so much everyone for the great advice! I think we will just get a few forints at an ATM when in Budapest and use a debit card for the meal and souveniers. I actually am looking for Ajka colored crystal. I have a small collection of wine glasses I am looking to add to and figure it would be a lot cheaper to buy them there. I know they have a couple of stores in Budapest. As you can see, I have no idea as to the exchange rates from dollars to forints so using a debit card would be the best option. I am going to try the Rosenstein restaurant that Okszi recommends. Does anyone know which Ajka store is closest to the city center (Vaci Utca) area to go to? Thank you all again!

For the exchange rate type in Google "100 dollars to forints"

Hi,
For the exchange rates this is the best option, I mean this a real place where you can check the rates and actually change your currency:

Make sure the debit card charges are in forints not dollars. Or you're overpaying.

Thank you Michael and Mimar. Will do the google conversion and make sure I pay in forints on my debits.

And thank you Okszi for all the invaluable help. It is very much appreciated! I have written down all the Ajka addresses and checked out the Rosenstein restaurant which looks awesome. I will do a trip report when I return.

Happy travels everyone!
