Forgive my whining, but arent there any decent restaurants open in Paris on Sundays for dinner?

Lori - If you haven't been to Le Train Bleu at the Gare de Lyon station this would be another suggestion. They are open everyday - food we had was absolutely delicious and the service brisk and friendly.
Our waiter took such a shine to our all girl table he presented each of us with a Menu to take home as a momento!
Just a little history lesson:
Gare de Lyon was built as part of the major building programme launched for the Paris Exhibition of 1900, as were the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais and the Pont Alexander III.
The facade of the old station building bears some features of the Belle Epoque style, but the most striking manifestation of that period has been preserved inside the building in the dining rooms of the Buffet with its large ornate rooms, its many sculptures and gigantic paintings. The decor almost seems overwhelming, but the overall effect is a harmonious tribute to the distinctive style of the period even down to the chairs, seats and coat racks!
