Dayle, Would you believe we are arriving in Milan the day after you return??! Well, I hope some others can meet you and you all have a great time. "One of these days" I hope to meet some of you all. (ps, save me some gelato!)

Dayle Jan 22nd, 2000 06:57 PM

Thanks, Cheryl! But sorry - we're going to eat ALL the gelato. First come, first served.

Hi Dayle,

I hope you are successful in getting together with other fodorites in Italy! I would love to join you, but Tony and I will be in Germany the 1st 2 weeks in June. Email me at home and here when you return. I'd love to hear all about it! Also, if you do get a group together, get some pictures taken and I can add it my web page where I have a "Fodorites Corner" with photos of my get togethers. It's at http://sites.netscape.net/monicapileggi/homepage

Ciao!

Dayle,
I'm planning to be at the Italian Lakes generally (lodging in Lugano) from 17-23 May. Anyone else at the Lakes at that time, I'll be happy to schedule a lunch/greeting meeting. Looks like I'll miss you in Stresa by a day or two.

T. Turnip, looks like we'll be there at the same time, but at different places. Any middle ground?

By the way, this will be my first trip to these fabled Lakes; I'm checking them out to see if they compare well to my favorite Lake Geneva.

Anyway, hope to see *someone* there!!
suzann

I WANT TO COME !!!!

Unfortunately, I'm dealing with health issues that have put a serious dent in any travel plans. Saluto! Have a glass of vino for my in abstentia.
I am more an Italia-phile (altho associated with the notes of a certain city who's name I dare not mention.

Buon viaggio!
Robin - hope you get better and on the road soon! Looks like everyone has great trips planned. Let's keep talking so those who want to meet within reasonable distances can do so! Monica of the Red Rose is working on Germany. Go travelers, go!

Monica Jan 25th, 2000 02:25 PM

Just bring this to the top again as well as mine! Dayle you make me smile!

Just a footnote to set the record straight. I am female. Mom got creative, what can I say?! It has caused me all kinds of hassel, amusement, and interesting situations in my life so far. But that's another thread entirely!
