Aftr many years of spending our yearly vacations in France as tourists or to visit French friends there. I found that attitudes do not differ. Some are liberals like me, others not. One friend surprised me that he didn't like homosexuals, Excuse the expression: Some of my best friends are. So-we had a parting of ways.

My wife and I were in Paris in early june, 1984. We weren't there for D-Day 40th anniversay ceremonies, but we did meet a couple of Canadian ladies who were. THEY were the rudest people we met during that trip!
